windows xp home edition (software install problem)

please could someone help me trying to install microsoft
works suite 2003 software (dvd rom) disk keep getting
message norton antivirus (navapw 32.exe) to shut down
norton antivirus which i have done disabled
autoprotect/and autoprotect on windows restart ive tried
task mannager to end task but norton antivirus is not
running thankyou
 
Press CTRL/ALT/DEL and use the "processes" tab to shutdown
running services.
