Windows XP Home edition logoff user

When I try to logoff from XP Home I get a msg. box End program
C:\Windows\System32\ntsys.exe windows cannot end this program. It may need
time to complete an operation. This happens when any other user tries to
logoff. To get past this we have to select "end now" and the box goes away
and we can logoff....????? My NAV reveals no issues.

Ran TrendMicro online scan to find three viruses resident on my machine.
used their FAQ's and help to fix the problem. Strange that my NAV did not
find the problem though.
