Windows XP Home Edition (Backup Utility ASR)

I love how Microsoft included the backup utility program
on the Windows XP Home Edition CD. I installed it and
read all about the ASR (Automated System recovery
Feature) in the Help Topic menu. It even has the little
ASR button on the user interface. But guess what!. "IT
DOESN"T WORK WITH WINDOWS XP HOME EDITION". Another
reason to go with the Professional version. The Home
edition is nothing more than a "stripped down version".
Not a "superset". If it was a superset than their would
have been no mention of ASR in the help topics of the
Home Edition, if it's a feature that doesn't work! It
would have only been mentioned in the help topics of the
Professional version. I guess this is a major flaw!. What
if Home Users have a catastophic failure with their PC
running Windows XP Home Edition. Were screwed!. Windows
XP Professional is not a "Superset" of Windows XP Home
Edition. Windows XP Home Edition is a "Feature Stripped"
version of Windows XP Professional. To be more accurate!.
Thanks MS for the time consuming task of having to re-
install the whole operating system again instaed of
giving Home Edition users a "Fully Operational and
Complete Back-up Program" as you did with the
Professional version!!.

Hello!
It's just necessary to do a manual install to prepare it
for use.

To Manually Install the Backup Utility
Insert the CD Rom and navigate to CD-ROM
Drive:\VALUEADD\MSFT\NTBACKUP

Double-click the Ntbackup.msi file to start the wizard that
installs Backup

When the wizard is complete, click Finish.
