Windows XP home Backup Utility not Working

I am on Windows Home edition of XP. I installed the backup utility from the
Dell cd. I have scheduled daily backups at a certain time of the day. I can
backup now, but the scheduled backups never work. What can I do to make sure
the daily backups as scheduled work?

Hi,

The task needs to be scheduled from a passworded account, is it?

Scheduled Tasks Cannot Run with a Blank Password [Q310715]

Also, from MVP Kelly (a workaround for those who do not want to use a
password):

For Home: Backup your registry before modifying. Locate the following
registry key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa

Value name: limitblankpassworduse
Type: REG_DWORD
Data: 0 (disabled) 1 (enabled)

It is enabled by default. Disable it and scheduled tasks should run.
