Windows XP Hard Disk and Internet

I am going to install a new hard disk to my notebook and then XP . Will I be
able to connect to the internet to download the drivers from the internet on
the same computer as soon as the Xp is installed? Which drivers are first
and also I see some of the drivers are zipped, is this easy to unzip. Thanks

notebooks usually have
custom drivers that are
required and are not
usually provided by
the windows cd.

in fact if you do install
xp on your notebook
without your manufacturer's
drivers, then xp may not
be able to run your laptop.

so check with your notebooks
homesite and download their
drivers to a disk and "read"
their information regarding
hard ware upgrade and
installing windows.

once your notebook is
functional with windows
then windows will need
to ascertain an activation
release code and it will
also download the updates
you o.s. needs.

so be sure that your laptop
in connected to your connection
used for the internet and
it will try to do the above
automatically.

No way for us to tell without knowing the hardware in the laptop. Download
the network driver and have it on CD to load after the install and you
should be all set, provided the laptop mfg has all the necessary drivers on
their website.
