windows xp guest account network login

my friend, who has windows xp home (as far as i know) is
on the same network as me and as far as i know the same
general configuration. he can configure the guest
account's password, but for me there is no option like
that in the users and groups control panel. please help,
at least some suggestions!

Sterling,

not sure, but perhaps you have to enable the guest account
first.
