Windows XP fonts

I seem to have a conflict with my fonts. An application that has worked fine
for months has suddenly started to show its menu in what looks like an
oriental font. After a lot of research on the net I am under the impression
that I have a duplicate font or some confilict of fonts? Is this likely and
can you tell me a way that I can just restore all of my XP fonts without
upsetting any of my other programs?
Thanks

Thanks for that Malke. You don't however comment on the fact that perhaps my
problem is as I suspect. I know that is a conflict of interests but i must
come clean. I updated my iTunes to version 7.0 and my menus in that version
have now gone to what looks like a bar code for each of the words and some of
the instructions have gone oriental. I know that Apple is a dirty word and I
am a loyal MS man but a man has to use his iPod! I have erased all I can for
the iAnything from my PC and if I load version 6 from the CD that came with
the iPod all is well but once I upgrade to version 7 then
............¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦ ¦¦¦¦ whatever that is? Help? Please
Thanks

Let's not be silly. "Apple" is not a dirty word. Many of us use other
operating systems - I use Linux as well as Windows and many other MVPs
are expert with Macs and Unix.

I have iTunes running on all the Windows machines and my son has an
iPod. We have no problems. Since you have isolated the issue to iTunes
7, here are some Apple tech support links:

Thanks for that Malke. have had a look at all of those links and the one
that gives me the most hope is one that tells me that someone else has the
same problem and someone told him that he had his iTunes shop set for Japan
but on checking mine is for the UK as wanted. However on a further uninstall
and install exercise I
note that the last page of what I imagine is the Apple contract acceptance
is in Japnese. I can't understand though how i keep getting the download for
Japanese users from IE if that is the case. I check the download is from the
Apple site and all the wording is in English and there is no indication that
it will download a Japanese version. I have successfully dowloaded an English
version onto my desktop PC but the download onto my laptop always comes up
with this Japanese version. The Apple support is non exisitant (full marks to
MS) and for we silver surfers we get out of our depth very quickly if there
isn't an idiots guide to press this button followed by that one. Any further
ideas will be much appreciated? Thanks again

Yippeee. I have cracked it! Not bad for an old fart. I found that under my
preferences it came up as language Chinese!! How it got to that i have no
idea but after changing to English and a reboot it is now English.
Thanks again for your help Malke it is always comforting to me that there is
someone on the end of an MS discussion forum who is interested in helping not
like Ap**e who couldn't care less. You are a star.

Glad you got it sorted. Thanks for taking the time to let me know.
