What other third party firewall software do you have installed? In the
meantime, go to Start/Run and type in: services.msc

Scroll down to Windows Firewall.....Automatic/Start.

Also, try to run several spyware checks on your computer as wel
because if your computer is slowing down at startup, something is no
right. Try and give a virus scan too. Just my advice to you. Thank

I have no other third party firewall and when I went into services.msc it
says that the windows firewall is started but if I go into the firewall in
control panel it still says it's off and I can't turn it on.
