Windows XP Firewall (ICF)

I think this is not working properly & is the culpret og
not getting my ports assignment automatically when I sign
into windows messenger. Is there a way to uninstall this
firewall & reinstall it again, I think mine is
corrupted,or do I have to buy another 3rd party firewall
& dump the microsoft one.

No, there isn't a way to uninstall or reinstall the Firewall feature in
Windows XP. This is built in and can't be touched.

You can try a 3rd party firewall. There is one great free firewall on the
Internet, Zone Alarm.
