Windows XP File Transfer

I just bought a laptop, and I want to transfer files from my desktop to the
laptop. I have a wireless router. The desktop is connected by cable, and I get
an excellent wireless signal to the laptop. Where do I start if I want to
transfer files to the laptop? I'm not concerned about security, as all I want to
transfer are a large number of mp3 files so I have my music to take on vacation.
I was told that if wireless is used, then the File Transfer Wizard won't work
for me. I haven't really looked into the Wizard yet. This whole wireless thing
is new to me. The desktop runs Windows XP Pr and the laptop Windows XP Home
edition. Can someone point me in the right direction? Thanks.

If the network is functional and file sharing is configured then there
is no reason that I am aware of why the Files And Settings Transfer
Wizard should not work for you.

Thanks. I guess where I'm having problems now is figuring out how to allow file
sharing. Can't seem to get anywhere with the help files. I'm going around in
circles.
