I have been getting the following error message under event viewer for quite
some time: ID#7000: The mrtRate service failed to start due to the following
error:
The system cannot find the file specified. What do I need to do about this,
if anything? Is this affecting my computer use? SC Query indicates that
mrtRate is a kernal driver. Have Windows XP, service pack 2.

I'm getting exactly the same event id every time I start my computer. The
Event Viewer details follow:

Type: 1 Kernel _Driver
State: 1 Stopped
Win32_Exit_Code: 2 <0x2>
Service_Exit_Code: 0 <0x0>
Checkpoint: 0x0
Wait_Hint: 0x0

This is the only Event Viewer error I am receiving. I don't know if it is
contributing to a problem I'm having connecting to the Internet via Broadcom
Wireless Adapter. Network Connections is showing "Media Disconnected". Other
notebook and desktop computers are having no problem accessing the internet
through our wireless home network.

My basic system info; Windows XP Home Edition, Version 2002, SP2

If anyone monitoring this newsgroup can tell me what to do about this event
viewer error,, I would appreciate it. Is it contributing to the problem
preventing Internet access? Thanks, cb
