I believe I'm having hard drive problems. My HD will "freeze" momentarily and
then return to normal as it operates. I get an error log post of:

"The device, \Device\Harddisk0\D, has a bad block"

Is this a windows problem or a harddrive problem?

Thanks,

HardDrive. Run windows disk checker and repair on your disk. Right click on
disk in My Computer>Properties>Tools>Error checking>checknow. Select both
choices. When your computer reboots the disk will be checked and repaired as
much as it can be and the bad block if not repairable will be marked as
unusable. Backup your important files and keep monitoring your disk to see
if it gets worst over time while maintain a good backup schedule and the
possibility that you might need another drive soon. The log of the process
will be in the event viewer.

How long have you had this harddrive? If it is still under warranty, you can
try to contact the manufacturer.

It's a hard drive issue. Is it under warranty? If not then go for a new one.
