Windows XP English to Korean?

I am considering the purchase of a Compaq notebook in the USA, which
comes pre-installed with Windows XP SP2 English. How can this be
upgraded to the Korean version i.e. so things like "Start" button etc.
are shown in Korean characters? I am in Los Angeles, USA.

Does it require the changing of some options (say in Control Panel) or
the purchase and/or download of new software?

Any advice, or links, would be much appreciated. Thanks!

From all the reports I have read it would require the installation of a
Korean language Windows XP.

You cannot upgrade or convert from one language version of the OS to
another, so you'll have to purchase and use the full version of WinXP
(in whatever language you want) to perform a clean installation.

Thanks for the replies folks.

I was on the phone today to the tech support and after about 30 minutes
of trying different things, they advised a fresh install of Windows
from the CDs that come with the laptop, but to choose the Korean
"language" option when asked to do so...

So do I ALREADY have a Korean version of Windows XP - I don't have to
go out and purchase any new software?

In other words, it's an option I select at the start of a fresh install?
