Windows XP Dual Boot Installation

L

Lygil

I have an existing installation of xp pro on my hard
drive. It is a 2 licence version. I wish to install
windows xp on my second hard drive.
I have 2 questions:
1) will a fresh install on the second hard drive affect
the installation of xp on the first hard drive, and
2) will the fresh install have to be activated or does
the activation apply to the computer on which it is
installed? I activated xp and then installed the second
hard drive.

1. The XP install on your second hard drive will not affect the install on
your first drive.
2. Each copy of Windows XP needs to be activated.

Greetings --

What is a "... 2 license version?"

If you're thinking of the "1 - 2 CPUs," this phrase refers to the
number of processors that may be installed on a single motherboard in
a single computer; it does _not_ mean that you can install that
license on two separate PCs.
