I am a novice about computers. I need help. I am attempting to burn a "batch
of E-mails with attached pictures to a CD, but the batch of E-mails exceeds
the capacity of the CD.

But Windows XP Home Edition does not recognize my DVD Burner.
Where and how can I download a driver that would enable Windows XP to burn
the batch of E-mails to the DVD Burner?

Please Help.
Thank You,

You will need to get some third-party (non-Microsoft) software to burn DVDs.

There are many from which to chose, some even free. Start at the following
links:

http://www.deepburner.com/?r=products&pr=deepburner&prr=features

If nothing there appeals, try a Google search on "DVD burning software free"
of similar (without the quotes).

And, finally, if you want a relatively sure bet (but not free), try the
latest version of either Nero or Easy Media Creator. At one time Nero
permitted a limited free-test-period; maybe they still do?

Thank You, Rich, for responding to my request for help.

In the My Computer Window, my DVD shows up as
CD Drive (D:)
DVD-R

What should I do next?
Thank You for your willingness to help me.

Ray, what's the name and model number of your DvD burner? Knowing that I
could help you further.

Ray:

XP has no native method for copying files to a DVD of any kind. You need a
third party application such as
Easy CD Creator or Nero.

Did you purchase this drive new? It should have a bundled software disk where you
can install the proper burning software for the drive. The application you want to
install from the disk would either be SonicDVD 4.0.

To see what was supplied withe the bundled software:
