Just came from my father, who bought a Samsung laptop some months ago. After
initial problems, he brought it back to retailer and they fixed it, but now I
found out, that they reinstalled windows without uninstalling the older one!!
It takes up a lot of space and we had problems installing a new scanner a/o
the USB ports. Could that be caused by it? How do we go about uninstalling
one OS without risking to loose data? Thanks for any help!

Hi,

Are there actually two bootable installations or is there just the remnants
of the former one? In either case you can simply copy needed data files from
the old one to the new - programs would need to be reinstalled. If files
were encrypted (Pro only), then there are some other steps you must take.
