Windows XP dies

My problem is as soon as i do something labor intensive or pull a bunch of
data from another drive my computer dies. Let me be more specific, the screen
goes black, the computer stays running but i can't do anything except
manually reboot it to get it back to where it was. I moved and should have
packed all the components individually but didn't. It did this before, and i
ran scan disc and that seemed to clear it up. I really am not sure where the
problem is. i have a secondary drive and primary, its done it when both
drives were being accessed. here are my specs.

Anyone have absolutely idea?

Video - Could have killed another one.
Power - Make sure you have an adequet power supply to power all of your
gear. It could be that accessing a hard drive or performing intense CPU
usage robs your video card of power it needs (in other words your power
supply may be inadequet), hanging it.
Heat - Always a culprit, though an easy way to test for heat is to open the
case, get a desk fan and aim it at the motherboard. If the problem goes
away with the fan blowing on it, the problem is most likely heat related.

Agreed, I have a similar problem with overheating. The solution is to
give the case a jolly good clean, also check the cooling fins on the
processor cover, these can get very clogged up with dust. If necessary,
give them a good scrape with a cocktail stick or similar implement.
