Hallo,

hinbekommen.

Leider entstehen hierdurch 2 Probleme:

1. Es wird immer der Produktkey abgefragt !?

2. Das lokale Administratorkonto wird deaktiviert !?

Wer kann mir weiterhelfen ??

Hello,

I would like to use the RIS (remote installation services) of the "Windows
2003 server" to distribute "Windows XP professional". Uses I unite reference
PC with an adapted installation for it. This installation is then adapted
for the distribution and put down as a RIS image on the server "to riprep"
with the tool. By the use of the SIF answer files we want a fully automatic
installation to got now.

Unfortunately, 2 problems arise from it:

1. The product key is always questioned!

2. The local administrator account is deactivated!

Who can help me along ???

Hi Thomas,

1. You must be using volume media for your key to be accepted.

[UserData]
ProductID = "_._._._"

2. Remove the " DisableAdminAccountOnDomainJoin = " line completely from
your SIF. Also, make sure the local admin account from your RIPREP source
machine has the same password as specified in your SIF or the account may be
disabled.

Hello "NIC student",

thanks. Both functioned.

I have still another question:

Can i deactivate the dialogues in the Client installation Wizard ?

A goal would be an automatic installation without user interaction.

Thank you.

Hi Thomas,

Which dialogs do you mean? I usually set up RIS so the user logs in,
selects "custom install", selects the image and sets the computer name. The
rest is completed without user interaction. Is your RIS process stopping
before it is finished?

Hallo "NIC Student",

I mean exactly these dialogs and interactions of the user which the client
installation Wizzard shows:

Pressing button F12
Registration
Choice of a manual or automatic installation
etc..

Many thanks ....

Hi Thomas,

You can turn off the ability of users to use custom installation screens
with the Group Policy, User>Windows>RIS>Client Screens.

You can limit the images the clients can see with ntfs permissions on the
..SIF files in each image.
