Windows XP CD Key

Hi All,

Just have a quick question. I have a legitimate Windows XP
installation CD, but I lost the CD cover and do not have the CD Key
noted down. Is there a way I can still use the CD to install Windows
XP on a computer? I do not have Windows XP installed on any other
computer using the same disc (if I did, I could have obtained the CD
key using such applications as "ViewKey").
Can anyone help?

Short answer, no. If you do not have the product key from the license you
purchased, and have no way to retrieve it from the system it's installed on,
you'll need to purchase a new license.

Not cool. Next time you'll know better.

If you can use an app to get the PK from an install on a second machine, you can
use it on the original machine, hack apps don't care what machine it's on.

Contact Microsoft and as long as you registered your XP you should be able
to ask for product fullfillment
