After installing Roxio Easy Media Creator 7, whenever I
now boot my computer, the first screen I see is a black
one which provides my Intel mother board serial number,
the amount of RAM installed, the speed of my processor,
information about the hard drives, and the CDROM/DVD
drives. The screen is untitled, and asks that I press F1
to resume the boot process. The next screen I get
following pressing F1 is the black one with the black and
white horizontal bar at the bottom made of vertical
lines. The bar changes from left to right. I think this
is the same screen you get when you reboot after
improperly shutting down the computer. Once I press get
past the black bar screen, everything else seems to boot
and operate properly. Does anyone know how I can
eliminate this screen from the boot process. Thanks.

This bar is being generated by NTDETECT.COM and does not
indicate a problem with Windows, some systems show this bar
during startup. If you see a Windows 2000 computer booting
you'll see the same bar.
