Hello,
I have many different models of computers here at work for which I create
Windows XP SP1 images. Each model of computer has a clean image installed
from scratch. Each image is upgraded with every Windows patch available
except Service Pack 2. Each image is used by donzens of employees so I know
the XP SP1 images works with no problems or corruption.

I have recently started to upgrad each image to SP2 and have had no problems
except on one of the images for my newest computer. This particular image
gets a blue screen right away on the splash screen. I am able to start it up
in Safe Mode and Safe Mode with Networking.
The only thing this image has that the others didn't is the model of
computer I created it for had wireless/bluetooth drivers. I have uninstalled
all hardware drivers but it still does not start up in Normal mode.

The blue screen only gives the generic message with a 0x0000007E

Any clues?

1. Uninstall SP2.

2. Make sure the machine has sufficient HDD space:

3. Check the computer manufacturer's website for driver and BIOS updates.

4. Run a /thorough/ check for hijackware:

When all else fails, HijackThis v1.99.1
(http://aumha.net/downloads/hijackthis.zip) is the preferred tool to use.
It will help you to both identify and remove any hijackware/spyware. **Post

5. Install SP2 and post-SP2 patches.
