I just powered up my HP pavilion ze4300 laptop and I have a new
account
asking for a password. It says "ASP.NET Machine Account". I
have one other account on my computer that is als asking
for a password. Cannot acess administaror account for same reason. I
have no password for these
accounts. Cannot get access to start menu or anything becuase of this
(fake) password! Restart, F8, safe mode does not give me access
either.

(Not sure if this has anything to do with it but am getting a little
suspicious - Two weeks ago had an e:mail from an unknown person saying
only 'I have your password' - which didn't mean a lot at the time as
did not have any passwords. Could this have been a virus/trojan? )

Have run Norton Antivrus regularly and since the e:mail - nothing
found.

Please help. Getting kind of desperate now.

Thanks in advance.

ASP .Net is a component of the .Net Framework. This account is created when
you install .Net.
