This afternoon I installed Wordperfect Office 2000.
After I did this and re-booted my computer, I discovered
that all of the e-mail in my 'inbox' had vanished.

I have no idea how/why this happened or how to get it
back!

Word Perfect and offcie 2000 are different products. Which did you install?
What program were you using before the install for your email?

I was adding Word Perfect Office 2000 so that I could
have Word Perfect.

Windows XP was already on my computer and was and still
is running just fine. I use Outlook for my e-mail.

i'm using netscape opera explorer and i'm having the same problem.

It's a work computer so I am not allowed to install any
updates. Our IT company are the only ones allowed to do
that.

(don't know why...)

It's not an update, but anyway your going to need more access than a locked
down computer will give you, so I suggest you have the IT dept fix it for
you.

Really? I never realised that MS had collaborated with Corel and they were
producing a hybrid office suite. ;o) <eg>

There is no such thing as "Word Perfect Office 2000". There is 'Word Perfect
Office Suite' and there is 'Microsoft Office' - which have you installed?

WPOS 10 was the release equivalent of Office 2000. Is that what you meant?

Maybe your default email client has been changed from
Microsoft Outlook to some email client that comes with WP.

In Internet Explorer, Click on Tools ---> Internet Options -->
Programs ; It will say E-mail: and it should say Microsoft Outlook
If it doesn't, use the dropdown box to the right, it is a checkbox
with a check in it, and click on that checkmark.

That box will drop down and show alternate choices for you
email client. So select Microsoft Outlook and remember to
save your choice by clicking OK or Apply where appropriate.

If this doesn't work, you will need support.

You could also check Tools, Internet Options, Programs
and see if your HTML editor that is used for writing email
has been changed to WordPerfect.
