Windows XP and Office 4.3

XP works great until I try to use Word or Powerpoint. Excel is fine. I know
4.3 is an older version, but why do I have problems. This is a newer laptop
with P4 processor and 512M RAM. I get the memory error message when I try to
open Word. I setup memory to the highest level, and still the error message.

Try right-clicking the winword.exe file, and clicking Properties. Then on
teh Compatibility tab, check "Run this program in compatibility mode for:"
and choose Windows 95.

See if that works.

Could be a corrupted normal.dot file.
