Windows XP Administrative Settings

Hi, a few days ago I got a virus which hit hard. It
changed almost all of my setting, which I managed to
restore on my own, but I can't access System Restore.

Upon selecting System Restore from any location on my
computer, I recieve this message:

"System restore has been diabled by group policy. To turn
on System Restore contact your domain Administrator."

I just restored the computer last week, which means this
virus has changed something, somehow. Anyways, all replies
would be greatly accepted.

Try this :
Select Start...Run
Type gpedit.msc
expand Computer Configuration
Expand Administrative Templates
Expand System
Select System Restore
Here you will see "Turn Off System Restore" setting if this is set to
enabled you need to right click it and select properties. Change the state to
Not Configured which is the Default setting in XP Pro.
Reboot the PC and go back to were you normally turn on/off system restore
(Control Panel, System, System restore tab) you should now be able to turn
the system restore on and off again.

Hope this helps
Cheers
