Windows XP 64-bit Hardware Compatibility

Hello. This may not be the absolutely correct group to post in but I'm a
bit desperate.

Does the MS site have a listing of peripheral hardware supported by the
latest WinXPpro 64-bit release candidate?

In other words, I'd like to check to see if Hauppauge TV card drivers, XFX
6800 GT video drivers, and other ones are already on the RC CD.

Thanks for any help or a link to the MS webpage that I can review. I can't
wait to use the new 64-bit version on my dual Xeon system!

Sincerely,
Joe Gonko

As the x64 products are OEM release only there is little need to publish a
HCL for them as they will usually come preinstalled on a complete system
from an OEM.
Also producing one for the RC builds is not relevant as drivers will not be
finished etc and we have also now released the final build to manufacturing
I would suspect that post the OEM launch of these products we may expand the
Windows Catalog and Windows Server Catalog found at
http://www.microsoft.com/whdc/hcl/default.mspx to cover these platforms.

OEM Madness

Hi,

I have just read the reply regarding OEM XP 64 and am a little perturbed... does this mean that Microsoft do not expect users of XP 64 machines to ever upgrade them? Does it mean that whatever is provided is all I am expected to ever want? Surely that is not the case.

How sad that we are told, again, that we are not worthy enough to want to expand our own horizons, that we have to wait for the OEM's to provide us with almost what we want...

Sigh

I am off to sign up at PC World - that is all I deserve.

Now... what is this Linux stuff all about?

;o)
