I start up my comp I get past the post and I get a blue screen with the error
0x0000007b and I don't know how I can fix it. I have my win home cd but it is
a bit scratched and will not get past the part where the setup is starting.

Now that's really helpful! It might be this or it might be that or it might
be some other thing. The solution might be this or might be that or it
might be some other thing to try. Typical of MickeyMouse's error
messages ... to dumb to figure out what the actual problem is, so they roll
them all into one error message and keep the end-user struggling to fix it
for hours (if they're lucky) or days (if they have to go through all the
different outlined suggestions from MickeyMouse).

One should always own/have the CD for the MS they want to install/use.
