on starting up windows i am greated with a warning message --
c:windows\system32\rmexgcxofv\services.exe windows cannot find, type in
again and try again, then i click ok and a desktop message saying !
could not load or run c:windows (same file as above) specified in the
registry. make sure the file exists on your computer or remove the reference
to it in the registry
i have ran a full system registry cleaner several times but still no good,
i can get rid of the mesages by clicking ok twice over, but would like to
know how to mend for good. this problem only happens to one user out of four
using the pc ?
I WILL BE VERY GREATFULL FOR A SOLUTION

The name of that folder, rmexgcxofv, is very suspicious and suggests this is
associated with malware. See these links for dealing with malware.

This is basically a message coming from windows trying to start a suscpicious
process whose entry is registered in the windows registry. Since there could
be a case where your antivirus software might have deleted this file already,
it is unable to find it and hence reporting error. Thus, no need to panic,
you just need to remove this entry from your registry and next time you boot,
everything will come up fine. Try checking the following locations in the
registry and remove all the entries pertaining to this path:
c:windows\system32\rmexgcxofv\services.exe

Run->regedit
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE->Software->Microsot->Windows->CurrentVersion->Run
HKEY_CURRENT_USER->.....Same as above.....

You may also check your startup folder in the Start->Programs for the same.
Also check any suspected service in the background by going into msconfig,
which refers to the above said path.
