This year - maybe.

Seeing as Beta 2 still hasn't really been released.. I am not holding my
breath.

What was the wording for the release today.. Oh yeah..

"This build is not beta quality but is being provided as a preview of our
progress towards Beta 2."

I could have sworn I was expecting Beta 2 in January.. February maybe.
*grin*

Ah well - I can wait.

MS have been hoping that it may be released in the last quarter of this
year.. the rest of us have learned to wait patiently without holding our
breath..

In the meantime, there is a perfectly good operating system in existence,
available to all, and it's name doesn't start with the letter 'L'.. :)

Right now, the best guess is sometime between August 31 and December 1. In
other words, nobody actually knows yet. Not even Microsoft Marketing, which
most likely has the final say.

Thank you people.
I know the release will not be soon but just asked because these days I see
everywhere (many sites) what Vista has /has not ...bla-bla-bla...

The most reliable OS till now -Windows XP- is going to be the most used ,I
think ,because even when Vista will be released , it will probably cost more
than XP and because Vista will be new and can't be so reliable like the
previous XP.

No matter , thanks again !

I differ from that. I used XP until I installed W2K3. My opinion is that W2K3 is a heck of a lot more reliable and stable. But again this is my opinion
