Windows Vista & Windows Live Messenger

I have installed Windows Live Messenger (WLM) in my notebook with Windows
Vista Enterprise. The installation was successful, but when I try to run WLM
nothing happens...
When I inspect task manager, many msnmsgr.exe processes are present but I
cannot kill one of them.
I uninstall and install 3 or 4 times and the problem continues...
Another thing: The WLM was installed in the folder "c:\programas\..."
(Portuguese) but the shortcut created in desktop tries to find "c:\program
files\..."
Anyone can help me?
thanks

Thank you very much...
I try only 8.1... Now I have installed the MSN 7.5 and it works fine...
Later I will try update :)

Thank you anyway ;-)

Just use the MSN 7.5; it works!
I have always had trouble with Windows Live Messenger.
Don't accept an update for MSN 7.5, when it asks once a week!
