Windows Vista Will Have Tiered Hardware Requirements

Well, that will be the average specs of new computers end of 2006, when
Win Vista will have gone gold.

What is your message?

After spend $400 on hardware upgrades, I get the message as I won't be
going to Vista.

These are the same things that were said before XP's release. I wouldn't
worry much. I know that I will probably not update from XP/XP Pro right away
anyhow. The one thing that WILL be a must is 64bit compatibility by sometime
around 2007-2008 or so. MS wants to sell a lot of copies of Vista, so as
long as you have a somewhat recent system it should be fine.
