Windows Vista restarts continuously following improper shutdown

On a Windows Vista PC the unit was supposedly improperly shut down then
rebooted and the operator continually got a black screen and the machine
attempted to load Windows Vista. Operator finally got to a screen that had
an option for "start windows normally" then the computer loaded Windows Vista
normally. Operator was told to call a PC tech friend before shutting unit
down to see if shutdown would affect any subsequent use and unknown if that
was done. If the unit was able to start normally and shut down normally
after the above error will there be anymore problems? Thanks.

Shouldn't be, unless maybe you've got a hardware problem.
