Windows Vista RC1

Hi. I have a Windows Vista RC1 disc and the code thing, but I don't
currently have it installed on my comp. I installed it a while back, but I
didn't do a clean install...probably should have though. Anyways, I am
thinking of reinstalling it, but if I do that, will it still upgrade itself
and fix issues and stuff since Vista is now done? I would hate to install it
and have my comp screwed up. Also, I will still have to go out and buy the
actual windows vista, right? I'm sure that RC1 is way behind the final
version.

You could try repairing the existing installation by booting off the Windows
Vista RC1 DVD, choose Repair Computer > click Repair Startup Option and see
if it will fix it.

Remember, System Recovery Options replaces Recovery Console and should be
able to repair both XP and Vista installations that are corrupted.
