I just ran a Microsoft Defender Full Scan on Windows Vista (Build 5308
CTP) and it turns out that I have almost a Full 150,000 Objects on my
computer (Spyware Free).
Anybody could have told you any recent version of Windows is bloated by
comparing it to other operating systems. Debian still ships with a 386
with 32 MB of RAM as minimum requirements (and I work with some hardware
that barely meets those requirements, with no intention of replacing them
anytime soon...we're about to get eaten alive on licensing costs for a
different set of hardware that needs a newer version of Windows for
$SPECIALTY_PROG from a vendor we don't pull enough weight with to get
exactly what we need, so the 386s get to stay in play for another
generation...).
