What files do you require form the expired Beta 2 product?
You should be using the final released product.
If it is something like wallpapers then these are posted on a number of
third party web sites.

What .jpg files for Vista are you specifically needing? Many may be backed
up on your Vista drive. For example, the files for wallpaper
(C:\Windows\Web\Wallpaper) can also be found in a subfolder of
C:\Windows\winsxs. Mine are here:

C:\Windows\winsxs\x86_microsoft-windows-shell-wallpaper-common_31bf3856ad364e35_6.0.5744.16384_none_453ffe7bb71f5981

You could Copy the files you want from the C:\Windows\winsxs subfolder and
Paste them elsewhere.

There are a number of pre-RTM releases, e.g., Build 5744, legally licensed
under the Microsoft Software License Terms, which won't expire until the
last day of May/first day of June (depending on your Zone).

Those wallpapers are available on a number of third party web sites.
Just use your favorite search engine and query for vista wallpapers
mountain

Okay, I see. Yes, I've read people's posts complaining that certain
wallpapers on the Beta's weren't in the Final release. Unless you know
someone still running a Beta version, whose you could copy, I don't know of
a way to extract them from the DVD. If you still have a folder called
"Windows.old" in C:\, they should be in there, providing you installed
directly from the Beta version.

Mike Brannigan had a good idea. Does this help:

There are two mountain/water pictures (Bliss and Real Bliss). If you want
one, click on it. When a new page pops up, click on "Download photo in
original format " at the bottom of the picture. When that (bigger) picture
is shown, right-click on the picture and choose "Save Picture as...".
