Windows Vista Activation Trouble

Guest

So here it is, for the 5th time today (since January 30th), I had to call
Microsoft to reactivate Windows Vista. The reason was today the installation
of an update for the Intel RAID Storage System. Of course, after loosing
minutes giving my xx digits activation number, the phone system dispatched me
again to a representative. There as usual, the representative was helpful and
the activation process was successful. However, because I am quite fed up
having to reactivate the software from time to time without really
understanding why, I enquired for a supervisor, but for an unknown reason it
did not go through this time. I would really like to have a follow up on
that, and I am sure that I can probably send some informations to Microsoft
that would help them to troubleshoot that Activation Issue.

Why don't you upgrade to Linux Ubuntu? There's no activation, no WGA, no
WGA/N, no DRM restrictions, no SPP and no viruses or malware. To top it
off, Ubuntu is free and can be copied and/or installed on as many
computers as you like. Check it out at http://www.ubuntu.com/

Frankly Alias, I do not know what you are doing here spaming about ubuntu...
you should probably go to an ubuntu newsgroup and stay there, where you will
be able to learn that even what you are saying about it is not accurate.
Still the last time I have checked here, it was a forum for Windows users,
where they could expose their trouble, if you have any expertise about the
anwer to my question feel free to share it, otherwse, why do not you just
pass your way and go to play with ubuntu somewhere else?
Thank you.

There is no solution to your problem other than having to activate all
the time if you insist on staying with Vista. I gave you a viable
solution. Take it or leave it.

And, no, I am not going anywhere. If you don't like my posts, learn how
to filter them out or use self control and don't read them.

Many of us have asked the very same question...what is this linux loser
troll doing in this Windows ng other than being here to spread his
bullshit FUD?
Alias is a American ex-patriot (most likely a fugitive) living in spain
who can't afford Vista so he's turned into a linux loser.
Ignore him, he knows nothing of value.

Interesting that you haven't been able to point out a single FUD I have
posted and can only lie:
Alias is a American ex-patriot (most likely a fugitive)

It's true I am an ex-pat but not a fugitive. Why do you lie? Answer:
you're out of ammo and have nothing left but lies to lamely try to
discredit my persona instead of addressing the issues.
living in spain
who can't afford Vista

I can afford Vista without any problem whatsoever. I can also afford a
horse. I have no need for either, although the horse would be a helluva
lot more user friendly than the invasive Vista.
so he's turned into a linux loser.

I haven't lost a thing except WPA, WGA, WGA/N, SPP and DRM restrictions.
Ignore him, he knows nothing of value.
Frank

How come you can't ignore me, Frankie? Too much beer?

Never heard of "urbutoo", sorry.

Lay off the beer, Frankie. Maybe then you'll be able to see straight.
Since when did they start allowing kids to bring beer to primary school in
the U.S.A.? I know they can pack guns, but beer! <snort>

I somewhat started to be aware of your lack of understanding about those
forums since your first post in this thread. It seems now that you are really
making justice to yourself showing off a complete lack of knowledge and
expertise on the subject. Now I do not expect you to understand any of the
questions that may be arised here, you have shown brilliantly in just few
sentences how useful your inputs and understanding were.
Beside, what you call your "solution" to my problem, is not appealing to me
and therefore I reject it (or I leave it, those are your words).
I wishfully hope now that you see by yourself that you do not have any more
business in that thread.

Do you realize that all you've done, above, is hurl unfounded insults?
It's not MY fault that Microsoft has you activating every time you turn
around.

New to Usenet? I've made it my business.

There IS NO solution to your problem other than activating at
Microsoft's pleasure. Live with it or go Open Source and not have to
live with it. If you don't want to read my posts, either learn how to
filter them out or use self control.

No, actually. All he did was state what many others have also observed
and stated. Granted, it is beating a dead horse, but he's entitled to
report his observations, as well, regardless of how many others have
observed and reported the same.

The sad thing about this whole thread is that the op still has not
received an answer to his original question. Granted, ubuntu may not be
the panacea for all ms ills, but as it stands now, the suggestion for
its use has been the only idea offered, whether it is viable to the op
or, for that matter, anyone else who has posted to this thread. If one
has THE answer, why not just post it, without the need to trash anyone
else. An answer should stand on its own merit.

Woah, I hurled insults? You probably do not even have any idea what it can
be. So I repeat here for the last time:
You can keep your useful inputs and comments for yourself, if you do not
understand why I opened this thread, fair enough, just go and make your
business on Usenet in another thread. And you are right, it is not your fault
that there is a problem in the activation, YOUR fault is to come here and
spam about another product (strangely enough for a professional of usenet),
and later on to believe that there is "your way" or no way.
As you seem unfortunately able to realise, all your inputs are remotely at
best related to my issue, and have achieved absolultely nothing.
Now I am truly and sincerely happy that you like your system, if however you
have no other thing to say than VISTA is bad and XXX is good, please do not
bother answering, even better filter my posts or use self control, to stop
answering here.

seems the only "entitlements" in this group are singing the praises of Bill

I have your stupid spamming ass filtered on my newsreader. To bad this web
interface can't kill you also.
So once again you prove you don't know what you are talking about.

I was going to give linux a try but after reading all your and Doris the
cross dressers post I figured only dip shits used it so I'll pass.

By the way you are not converting anyone here so why don't you run along and
try to convert some MAC users? dip shit.
