Windows very slow to load

can anyone tell me why windows takes about 2mins to fully load on my computer each time i boot up? I'm running 512mb or Ram and Intel centrino 1.4ghz processor..... it never used to do it, it only started doin it a couple of days ago?!

any help is greatly appreciated.
 
Try running a program like adaware this might work

Check your startup folders, Start/Run/msconfig/Startup and the Startup

How long WIndows takes to boot depends on a number of things,
such as what programs you have starting automatically.

But two minutes isn't bad, and as far as I'm concerned, is
nothing to worry about. Most people start their computers once a
day or even less frequently. In the overall scheme of things,
even a few minutes to start up isn't very important. Personally I
power on my computer when I get up in the morning, then go get my
coffee. When I come back, it's done booting. I don't know how
long it took to boot, and I don't care.
