windows upgrade broke my hardware

for a year my computers been fine. within two days of
upgrading to xp i have had four messages telling me i
have a hardware failiure and the system has stopped. the
computer then freezes and does nothing
i can't beilve this is coincidence. what could have
happened something must disagre with xp is there any way
i can check my hardware?

Open XP's "Help and Support" and type: HEALTH , and hit enter.
Click on "Get information about your computer", then click on
"View the status of my system hardware and software".
