A year or so ago I was reading about Trustworthy Computing, Palladium
and so on, and am wondering if there is now spyware that arrives within
the Windows Updates that, in cooperation with other software
manufacturers, will render an unauthorized version of a program such as
Photoshop or 3DS Max usless.

Considering it's already been proven that personal information is
actually collected (and they tell you it's not) from microsoft's data
collection policies, I wouldn't put it past them.

a court of law is a non-sequitur... they'll just disable the pirated
software... who's going to complain? the pirates? the part about ms
collection policies is probably more of an example of to what extent
they don't care about you, your wants, or your rights...

I don't know, but why shouldn't that be OK? Actually I think MS would be

before starting on anybody else's
