Windows Updater Validation for Critical Patches?

I have not validated my copy of WindowsXP, but I thought that there was
a way to get the Critical updates. When I got to the WinUpdate site it
says I need to validate.

Does setting up for automatic download do it?

Any way to get around the validation for critical updates?

Hi,

You have two options for getting MS security updates without
validating first:

1)
Use Automatic Updates.

2)
Use MS Download Center, or find the direct download links in
the Security Bulletins:
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/current.aspx
