I have Windows XP and, when I go to Windows Update, the
update tries to check for needed software updates, but it
abruptly stops and prompts the message "software update
incomplete (error# 0x800B0004). Below that prompt it
gives some suggestion on how to fix this problem, and I
tried these suggestions, but they did not help the
problem the computer is having. I tried to download some
importnat download updates directly, but I get a meeage
prompted back to me which says there is some problem with
the integrity of my "update.inf" file or I should make
sure my cryptographic service is running. I checked and
the cryptographic service is running. Any suggestions on
how to fix this problem? Any suggestions would be
appreciated as I need to download my security updates.
