Hi,

Now don't rack me over the coals, please! Just answer my question.

If I do not install Vista SP1 will I still be able to get updates from
windows updates for my computer.

I am not going to install SP1 as the last time I tried it crashed my system
and I ended up reformatting. Not again.

Eventually you will be forced to install SP1, just as you were forced to
install SP1, and then SP2 (on Windows XP) - in order to get the newer
updates. As to when this will occur is Microsoft's secret at this time.
Personally, I would expect it to occur before the end of the year.
