WINDOWS UPDATE

I am having problems with Windows Update and downloading Project 2003 Service
Pack 2 for Office Pro 2003.

Can access Windows Update ok but when trying to run this particular update
it gets so far and then fails. Currently at 15.80mb of 35mb download and it
has hung.

I have checked Windows Update Log and have the following error messages:-

2006-01-09 12:39:08 856 3e0 DnldMgr BITS job
{CD94058C-81A2-439A-97F2-B1BA2229B091} hit a transient error, updateId =
{F073AF23-32B9-41B3-BA75-70D210821F8F}.101, error = 0x80072EFE
2006-01-09 12:39:08 856 3e0 DnldMgr Attempt no. 1 to resume the job

I have deleted the Datastore and Download folder in
C:\WINDOWS\SoftwareDistribution\ folder and no change.

Help ??

You would probably get faster/better results if you post your update
problems in "microsoft.public.windowsupdate" newsgroup.

You might try manually downloading the update from the download center.

Forgot I originally posted this here. The same post has been raised in
Windows Update.

Problem now resolved. Deleted Software Distribution folder from C:/Windows.
This is automatically created when Windows Update starts. It also means you
will lose any windows updates history. Update completed successfully.
