Windows Update won't work after Reactivating Windows

Rebooting after following Symantec's instructions to remove Norton Firewall,
I was asked to reactivate windows, which I did successfully. Now, however,
windows update will not work. I have XP home installed, which I had
previously updated to SP2. How can i get windows update working again?
