im in the same boat now
i had been fighting this vista since i bought it a few months ago
had to do a full reinstall,everything is working ok
but i can get the windows update to work
i get the same error code that you have here..
some body tell us,if there is a fix
i recomend,that no one buy vista.if you havent yet
dont do it....
Microsoft offers a free email service for update problems in Vista. Go to their website
and look under support. I've used it a few times and the support is very very good.
