Windows Update via 56k dial-up modem

Man-wai Chang ToDie (33.6k)

I found that dial-up connections are not reliable enough to download
large files.

Could I ask a cousin or friend to download the updates into files for me
and have them moved to my PC via a USB drive?

Is there a solution for this from Micro$oft?
