Windows Update screen is just blank

I have xp home, my windows update screen is just blank...
white.

Also if I go to the help about in ie6 it does not give me
a version or build.

Also if i go to system restore the screen is blank

also if I go to microsoft knowlege base the dropdown is
blank

Help please!!!
 
Hi,
immediately scan your system with latest virus definitioned antivirus.
Also scan with spybot,search and destroy/adaware/cwshredder
