I just installed service pack 2 on someone's XP Home Edition computer.
Shortly afterwards, the icon was flashing in the tray about more updates
ready to install. So I installed those. Shortly after that it came up
again and this time it says "The following updates were not installed -
Lucent Win Modem - S3 Graphics ProSavageDDR"
Both of those items are working properly. It only takes about 5 minutes
before the icon is back again. Run it and get the same thing again.
Actually, I didn't think hardware drivers were considered critical updates
anyway. So why is this happening?

OK, I figured out how to stop it. Picked advanced install instead of
express, then unchecked both item and checked the box to not notify me
about those again. I don't really understand why they came up anyway. They
were working fine and it couldn't install them anyway.
