Windows Update : Order of installation

When using Windows Updates (on XP Home), when the list of Critical Updates
is shown, can the updates be installed in any order ?

Also, is it generally best to install the updates individually or "en-mass"
?

Yes, any order is OK. I would go chronologically, just "because."

Individually is MUCH better, as updates are never without the risk of
untoward effects.
