Windows update installed junk on my pc

I did a ton of downloads overnight to my computer from
the windows update page. The next date i find an
additional user account added to my pc called smsinstall
with full administrative rights and is password
protected. I have deleted this account several times and
each time it returns. Anyone have any idea how to get rid
of it? I have the current version of norton and Windows
XP is requireing me to pay for help with it even though i
purchased the software from them.

The new administrator account was installed by (Dot) .NET.

Try this;
Hi,

1. Go to Start/Run and type in: control userpasswords2 and press ok.

2. On the Users tab, clear the Users Must Enter A User Name And Password To
Use This Computer check box and then click OK.

3. In the Automatically Log On dialog box that appears, type the user name
and password for the account you want to be logged on each time you start
your computer.

Add Control UserPasswords2 to the Control Panel (Line 1)
